Morning Academic Programs
(Grade K- Middle School, M – F, 9:00 – 11:30)

HuaYi summer morning academic programs are well organized condensed version of full school year courses. They are designed to help students to review, enhance, and build up strong fundamentals for students to get ready for the coming school year; as well as, for students who plan to take credit-by-exam, PACE/GT tests, and SAT/Duke Talent Search. HuaYi daily academic programs include

► SAT/Duke Talent Search for middle school students. It includes SAT math, verbose, writing, daily exercises, mock tests, and etc.

► PACE/GT preparation for all grade levels.

► Enrichment Math: students are trained in math fundamentals and extensive ways of applying the fundamentals to complex and brain-twisting problems. Students also learn gifted math, critical thinking, and problem solving.

► English language art: students learn English reading comprehension, social study, science, history, map skill and geography.

Afternoon Fun Activities and Field Trips
(Grade K- Middle School, M – F, 2:15 – 6:30)

For years, HuaYi summer afternoon activities have been the great fun experiences every student looking for. We study hard and play hard. We have fun, a lot of fun!

► Field Trips: Roller Skating, Swimming, Bowling, Movie, Kidmania, and Texas Dynamic (bouncing house and trampoline).

► Story Telling and Leadership Speech, Arts and Crafts, Chess Tournaments.

► Basketball, Hula Loop, LEGO, DDR, Table Games, Board Games.

Optional Summer Classes

► STEM Camp: Engineering & Construction; Computer Coding..

► English Writing and S[eech Camp, G2-G3.

► Intro to Congressional Debate Camp; G4-G6

► Ping Pong classes (Grade K-7) – will be taught by XTTS Coach Wang Shuai or other USTT certified coach, Mon-Fri.

Summer Everyday Chinese Classes
(M – F, 1:00 – 2:00)

Students have Chinese class every day. Using Jinan (暨南) Chinese textbook, students have extra reading and vocabulary and learn more customs, history, and culture closing to their daily lives. Students will also learn Chinese poems daily.

HuaYi PACE and GT Preparation Program has the great success rate in PISD, AISD, and FISD gifted and talented program tests. HuaYi success rate is not based on a special group of selected or recommended students. Our statistics is based on all students who took our gifted program prep class.

► As reported by May 31, 2015, 18 out of 21 HuaYi Kindergarten students, who took the PACE/GT tests, have passed the PACE/GT tests in 2014-2015 school year.

► As reported by March, 2014, 17 out of 20 HuaYi Kindergarten students, who took the PACE/GT tests, have passed the PACE/GT tests in 2013-2014 school year .

► As reported by May 31, 2013, 31 out of 36 HuaYi G1-G5 students, who took the PACE/GT tests, have passed the PACE/GT tests in 2012-2013 school year.

► As reported by March 5, 2013, 17 out of 22 HuaYi Kindergarten students have passed the PACE/GT tests in 2012-2013 school year. Several students achieved the perfect score of 150 for the two non-verbal tests. Congratulations to:

► As reported by March 2011, 10 out of 13 HuaYi Kindergarten students have passed the PACE/GT tests in 2010-2011 school year. Several students achieved the perfect score of 150 for the two non-verbal tests.

► Ms. Yi's PACE/GT preparation class has helped many students to pass the PACE/GT every year. Ms. Yi helped 37 students in 2008 and 67 students in 2009 to pass the PACE/GT tests .
